2013 - A Year of Festivals
Replacing the January Theme Day is the Festival of the Belly Button, details of which have already been outlined.
The Festival of the Equinox will be held from 8pm Sunday 17th March until 8pm Friday 22nd March. At this time of 'balance' in our planet's journey around the sun, we take a week to photographically explore the balanced (or unbalanced!) relationship of animal, vegetable, mineral, and spiritual in our own landscape.
The Festival of the Solstice will be held from 8pm Sunday 16th June until 8pm Friday 21st June. At this time of 'extreme' in our planet's journey around the sun, we take a week to photographically explore the quarters of fire, earth, air, and water and how they impact upon man's life on our planet.
The Festival of the Equinox returns from 8pm Sunday 15th September until 8pm Friday 20th September. Once more, our planet is in balance and this time we photographically explore the resources of food and water available to us as a result of our wise use of the planet upon which we live.
These bare bone details will be logged into the side-bar for your reference. Each of these 'festivals' will have a photographic 'angle' to them, in addition to the general topic. They are designed to be more challenging that the monthly theme.
