Among them were tailors, weavers, furriers, wheelwrights, stonemasons, blacksmiths, and coopers. Nowadays artisans are found in niche crafts, entered into as a hobby as much as for gainful employment, for instance, jewellery, glassblower, potter, sculptor, fabric design, brewer, and cheesemaker.
