Do you sometimes take color photographs in which the color is so muted that the image looks black and white? Oklahoma City's National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum has a fine statue of Abraham Lincoln by the sculptor James Earle Fraser. The large statue sits in front of a monumental American flag. Lincoln's face is brightly lit and the flag is in shadows. A tightly focused image "reads" as black and white until you look very hard.
On March 1, 2016, City Daily Photo bloggers will show us a selection of "black and white in color" photographs. Please visit the Theme Day section of the City Daily Photo portal to include yours.
