The first-of-the-month theme for June, chosen overwhelmingly by members, is 'The beauty of decay', which I have dedicated, in appreciation, to our blogger from Oeiras, Portugal, José Mendonça, known around the blogosphere as 'JM'. José's blog commenced life in August 2008 as 'Oeiras Daily Photo' and has recently changed to 'Lisbon and the Sunny Coast'. José has long been providing us with exquisite images of decay which take the breath away. So, let's take the topic and run with it, stretching it as far as we can. There are a myriad of directions possible, two of which I have illustrated with this post. Toss them all up - animal, vegetable, and mineral. As usual, the linky will open at 8pm, this time on Friday 31st May, and close at 8pm five days later, on Wednesday 5th June. Remember, that I am varying the starting time, in an endeavour to make it member-friendly for each of us, at least some of the time, rather than for me all of the time! For June, the time zone used will be GMT-10 which places us somewhere close to Honolulu. |
